RIP BET UNCUT
When something is too good to be true, it just may be. With news swirling that BET would return it’s mature XXX classic BET UNCUT program to the late night airwaves, fans rallied around the announcement and reminisced on teenage memories. It was supposed to be a grand homecoming, even if the 11:00pm debut was a little unorthodox.
Yet last night during the premiere, the worst happened. Not only did BET lead viewers to believe the show was coming back with it’s classic opening disclaimer, but they cut to Vine star Andrew Bachelor and YouTube star DeStorm Power saying everyone got punk’d.
Why? Because BET is relaunching the MTV series on their own network with Power and Bachelor hosting. The announcement of BET UNCUT was just a marketing troll to get eyes on the new Punk’d. Not the actual premiere of the show, but an announcement the show is coming August 18.
To add insult to injury, Stephen Hill put a stop to any UNCUT returning news:

Odds are the new Punk’d will end like the 2012 reboot and much like this prank: drenched in failure. The realest thing that came out of this was the fact the two guys said “you can watch all the videos online.” Which is true, live and uncensored. So stick to that.
