Montreal singer, songwriter and producer Black Atlass is back with his new album Haunted Paradise on Fool’s Gold Records. While you usually picture palm tries next to blue skies by the coast, the dark image on the cover paints an entirely different setting, but one that’s appropriate for the way this project sounds. Haunted Paradise is the follow-up to last year’s free album Jade, made up of 11 tracks of slinky R&B exploring a dark side of California. It’s the type of LP you should really sit down and indulge in one sitting.
