Brockhampton to Delay ‘Puppy’ Album Following Ameer Vann Allegations

Brockhampton are set to delay their upcoming Puppy album after founding member Ameer Vann was accused of sexual misconduct, statutory rape and emotional abuse.

“We’re probably gonna push the album back but I still want a single to come out next month,” Kevin Abstract said on Instagram Live. “Having to deal with family problems in front of the world is very difficult, and I’m sorry if this isn’t enough. It’s heavy and I also understand if you’re mad and completely over it. I should have said something, I shouldn’t have been quiet for so long.”

Abstract also condemned Vann’s actions. “I don’t agree with anything Ameer has admitted to,” he says. “He’s been getting help for over the past year. I just want people to know that I’ve never seen Ameer hurt anyone and I also want people to know that we hold each other accountable for anything, any mistake.”

Puppy will be the group’s first album since signing a $15 million deal with RCA Records. They previously announced that it would be released in June.
