Common, Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins: Tiny Desk Concert

Under the name of their newly-formed group, August Greene, the trio of Common, Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins recently stopped by NPR Music for their very own ‘Tiny Desk Concert.’

For it, they put together one hell of a performance lasting over 30 minutes, which included five tracks and an impromptu freestyle. Four of the songs, “Black Kennedy,” “Practice,” “Optimistic” and “Let Go,” are taken from their upcoming self-titled album, while “Stand Up for Something” is from the movie Marshall. They were joined by special guests Brandy, Andra Day, Samora Pinderhughes and Maimouna Youssef.

Common, Glasper and Riggins actually formed August Greene after last year’s Tiny Desk Concert at the White House.
