To coincide with their first album in eight years, Dilated Peoples stopped by Sway In The Morning for an in-depth interview. The LA crew spoke on definitive moments in their early career, while being accepted by the likes of Tha Alkaholiks, Cypress Hill and Freestyle Fellowship, who set the bar high. Evidence, DJ Babu and Rakaa built on this by talking about the difference between independent and major, the impact of TDE, certain mindsets of this generation and DJs just letting the CD play.
Along with the interview, the trio gave an in-studio performance of “Show Me The Way” and “Good As Gone” from Directors of Photography, which is available on iTunes via Rhymesayers.
