It’s been a few months since the world lost legendary rapper DMX to a tragedy and now his cause of death has officially been revealed and are consistent with previous reports.
According to a source from the Westchester County medical examiner’s office, DMX died from a cocaine-induced heart attack. The incident caused a lack of blood circulation to his brain and it’s what put him in a coma. Apparently, it was cardiac arrest because of the cocaine, which led to this chain of events. His death was immediate because of the drugs in his system.
Earl Simmons passed on April 9 at the age of 50.
X arrived at the hospital on April 2 and was put on ventilatory support, but he remained brain dead and would not awake from his coma.
Following his death, his estate released his album Exodus, a project he was working on for several years. He had plans to release in 2021 but could not see it to fruition.
