Drake and Future Were Most Streamed Artists of 2017

2017 was the best year ever for streaming and at the top of the list were two rappers, who have collaborated together and taken over the rap game. Drake amassed a staggering 6 billion streams last year (also being the most streamed artist worldwide), while Future came in second with a whopping 4.2 billion listens.

If we’re talking about audio-streamed song of the year, that titled goes to Kendrick Lamar‘s “HUMBLE,” which recorded 555.2 million streams.

In terms of how streaming is doing currently, it seems like people are paying for music because out of the 377 billion streams that happened last year, 80% of those were from paid subscriptions.
