Drake’s currently partnered with Sprite for a hip-hop-themed campaign with hip-hop legends Nas, Rakim and The Notorious B.I.G. for the summer with Obey Your Thirst. Fader TV, has partnered with the soft drink giant to present an exclusive documentary series, beginning above with the Toronto rapper-singer.
In the brief rare sit-down interview, Drizzy opens up about his passion for the story telling aspect of rap, in comparison to just putting together words – citing people need to be a multi-layered artist.
With the goal of being a leader of his city in Toronto, Drake says artist don’t need to go to New York anymore to launch their career, referencing fellow OVO cohorts The Weeknd and PARTYNEXTDOOR have had success staying in their respective cities.
