Welcome Dreamshow to the OnSMASH screen. The band, hailing out of Brooklyn, NY, has a fresh track that caught our ear and the feel-good single “Animals” is definitely something we’ll be blasting on this side in the near future. If we could explain their sound, we’d say they have an ’80s infused twist, with vocals mirroring UK indie music.
By Any Means director Josh Sobel will be directing the video for the track and was inspired by their vibe from the jump. He had something to say about the record and maybe foreshadows a bit of what we could expect from the visual:
The song evokes a primitive lust for the forbidden fruit. The bite you want to take & the smell you can’t taste. It’s about the human experience; not getting exactly everything you sign up for. This notion is what inspired me to direct the video, dozens of life’s surreal temptations & restrictions introduced only to vanish & never return thereafter.
