Eminem – Demo Recordings (x4)

Earlier today the internet(s) unearthed some old school Eminem tracks circa 1988-1991. 3 of them featured Chaos Kid (produced by Manix) and one featured the late great Proof. As you know, the quality on these are just as good as the tape deck that recorded them, but you can hear how far along Slim has come from these recordings and transitioned to Infinite, Slim Shady LP, MMLP and most recently Relapse.

In terms of classic Eminem/Proof freestyle bar trading, the one that stands out the most would be the Kurt Loder, MTV helmed interview from around 2000 where Em & Proof go off the top for about 4 minutes and change (whats a freestyle anymore?). Although this old recording doesn’t sound nearly as dope as that one (or even the drunk one), you can see where the roots of their relationship started from. The other 3 tracks are even older and sound more to the tune of the Benzino leaked “Foolish Pride” which deemed the eternal end of his career.

Shady fans should add these to their collection like everything else acquired from the Napster days. Take them for what they are, unreleased recordings to show an artists progression and really nothing else. Read up on the backstory here and check the ‘space for more music from SuckerinRhymeBassmint. The zip includes tracks “PooButt”, “Artificial Flavor”, “Unrealistically Graphic” and “Hammer vs. Vanilla” from young Marshall. Coincidentally, Eminem is also currently leading all contestants in the MTV: Hottest MC’s online poll; Vote Now.
