Following an insane campaign and controversial singles, Eminem can finally celebrate after the success of his new album REVIVAL. Today, the official stateside numbers for Slim Shady’s newest effort have surfaced, as they reveal he’s charted as the no. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
The official first week sales were 267,000 – with 197,000 being traditional album sales.
Em also sets history becoming to the first act to achieve eight consecutive chart entries that debuted at no. 1 on Billboard. The project serves as a follow-up to his 2013 The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which debuted with 792,000 copies (insane climate change in four years).
Last, but not least, this new album also notches the third largest week among hip-hop albums for 2017 – trailing only Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. (603,000) and Drake’s More Life (505,000).
