Exactly two weeks after the release of The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem‘s eighth studio effort has officially reached platinum status. If we’re being honest, we expected it to achieve the numbers it has done during the first fortnight of release, although the purchases went down by a staggering 73% after moving a total of 210,000 copies in second week sales. Many questioned the choice of title for the new album, but it’s fair to say Eminem has provided enough reason behind the move, producing the majority of work with Rick Rubin.
