Congrats to Hendrix and DJ Esco!

In just two weeks, Future has released consecutive albums, consisting of 17 tracks each. With the Atlanta rapper, just 48 hours removed from sharing his HNDRXX album, which catered to mainstream masses, the first week sales of his self-titled street effort are finally in.

According to Nielsen Music, the FBG representative generated 140,000 equivalent album units in his opening week for the Future project, becoming his fourth consecutive no. 1 album on Billboard.

With the help 73,000 units in streaming, he pushed 60,000 traditional album sales from stores and an additional track equivalent album units of 7,000, for the full tally. This is in n follow to his collaborative What a Time to Be Alive mixtape with Drake, as well as DS2 and last year’s Evol.

It’s likely that Future will score another no. 1 album next week, when the numbers for his HNDRXX album come in. We’re not sure how many artists have ever had the no. 1 and no. 2 albums in the country, but Hendrix is moving into elite company with these milestone achievements.
