GoldLink is gearing up for the release of his new album At What Cost this Friday. The DMV rapper recently caught up with Genius to break down the lyrics and meaning behind one of his new singles, “Meditation.”
“I actually just conceptualized an experience I had with a female.” GoldLink says about the track. “She was kinda “it” to me.” He goes on to break down each line and says he didn’t realize the production was used on Kaytranada’s “Track Uno.” He received the beat in a package sent from the producer, and decided to use some lines he wrote in 2015 for the first verse.
