Los Angeles rapper Hugh Augustine is back with his new album, Dubious, the follow-up to 2015’s Massimo Ciabatta and his first release since working with Isaiah Rashad on The Sun’s Tirade. The project is made up of 13 tracks from the Leimert Park native, with features coming from Syd (a family friend), Ye Ali, Ray Wright and Joy Postell.
“I’m trying to be vulnerable. That’s what Dubious is all about,” he told Passion of the Weis. “Striving for that vulnerability, striving through that lack of resources, striving through that unknown where you don’t know what your music is gonna do when it comes out. But I’m so passionate about it, I put my all into it. I feel like that’s a formula for success.”
