We’ve heard plenty from different people about that Roc Nation and NFL deal, but one person who used to be close to JAY Z has spoken up recently and he has some shit to say about the whole situation. In a talk with Page Six, Irv Gotti commented on the partnership and had this to say:
“To sit there and watch JAY talk [at their meeting] while [NFL commissioner] Roger Goodell is sitting there quiet, it almost looks like the NFL manufactured and manipulated JAY to be the front and face of the bullshit, knowing JAY is so powerful that he can make people forget about [Colin Kaepernick and others] kneeling.
It’s a brilliant move for the NFL. If it was a masterminded plan, then you just used Hov for a masterminded plan and made him look like a pawn in this whole f**king thing.”
No matter on where you stand when it comes to the issue, the fact of the matter is that it is still too early to see what happens. And that’s why Gotti will wait it out to before making final judgement on the deal.
Hov is going to serve as musical consultant for the Super Bowl and will be contributing to the NFL’s social justice program Inspire Change.
