J. Cole Off-Season First Week Album Sales revealed, as The Dreamville and Roc Nation artist scores a career accolade on streaming. The numbers have finally been unveiled, as Jermaine’s new project debuts no. 1 on the Billboard 200. It proclaims the biggest week for a hip-hop release, moving 282,000 album units in its first week.

While he’s shy of Taylor Swift’s Fearless album, that generated 291,000 units its first week, it became the second highest of the year. The Off-Season also scores 2021’s largest streaming week for any album, which had 325.05 million on-demand streams for its 12 tracks. Of original album sales, he moved 37,000, as well as total equivalent albums of 2,000.

Cole also earned his first no. 1 on the Billboard streaming songs with Interlude. It generated over 26.4 million U.S. streams alone, becoming his most popular song to date in the streaming era. He had previous no. 1 claims on the chart singles with Déjà Vu, ATM and Middle Child.

Look for the project to likely repeat as no. 1 on album sales again next weekend.
