11 years ago, Hip-Hop suffered one its biggest losses with the tragic death of Run-D.M.C. member Jam Master Jay. At the age of 37, he was shot while recording new music at his studio in Jamaica, Queens. While his murder still remains a mystery, we’ve never forgotten the legacy one our forefathers along with Run-D.M.C. impacted the genre of Hip-Hop. Above, Hot 97’s DJ Mister Cee decided to give JMJ a special “Throwback At Noon” Tribute Set for his hour long set.
