Jay Electronica Takes Aim at Drake & J. Cole

More competitive nature, less buddy-buddy rhymes

Last week at a show in London, Jay Electronica was giving a live show for those on hand, including performances for popular cuts Exhibit C and We Made It.” During the middle of the set, Jay took a brief moment to issue an open challenge to fellow rhymers – calling himself the God of hip-hop.

This soon prompted him to go further and call out Drake saying “You may be the 6ix God, but I am THE God.” The shocked crowd witnessed Electronica call out fellow Roc Nation label-mate J. Cole before continuing the show, but unfortunately didn’t have words for Kendrick Lamar. While fans of the N.O.L.A. rapper have been waiting his Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) album this entire decade, these are some very bold claims in a climate where rappers are actually hitting the booth in retaliation to speak their mind.
