Minor setback for a major comeback. . .
A few days ago, Top Dawg Entertainment released the second single for their upcoming Black Panther soundtrack. The song titled “King’s Dead,” featured Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future and James Blake – which is also being used as a promotional effort for Rock’s next solo album.
This weekend, the Watts section representative of Los Angeles, was guest on Real 92.3 and discussed plans for his next effort. Without giving away the entire effort, he cited that it would be filled with bars and shared some of the producers we could expect on it. Jay hinted that the project is set to be an immediate follow-up after the February 9th release of Black Panther.
The new album is also reportedly complete, with multiple music visuals already shot. At the moment, The Rock is just waiting for his name to be called by the boss himself, Top Dawg.
