Toronto newcomer Jessie Reyez is making a huge impression with her debut single “Figures.” After releasing the track yesterday, she’s laying out all her emotions bare in the official video, out today. “I gave you ride or die and you gave me games,” she says in the first line, as she pours out her feelings up against a chair while lounging in a baggy t-shirt. Jessie recorded the track in Sweden and ended up crying on record about something that was going on back home.
Clearly, from lines like “I wish I could do exactly what you did,” she really is a ride or die and wouldn’t dream of doing something wrong.
