When FOX’s hit show EMPIRE released their soundtrack last year, it was received well by the public and by fans of the show. It even spawned one of our favorite tracks from television ever created, “Drip Drop,” which may have been a little corny at first when we saw it on the series, but quickly gained our acceptance the more we listened to it.
Now, EMPIRE is trying to double up on the success and even top it with the season two soundtrack and Jamal Lyon is at the helm of today’s releases. The first, “No Doubt About It,” sounds like a party anthem that can actually catch on fire on the radio and features Mr. Worldwide Pitbull. You know any track he’s on always has the potential to rock clubs.
The second song, “Ain’t About The Money,” sounds more like a joint that could be the theme song for the new season, but it’s more of a slow burner with a hard beat. Yazz provides those Tyga bars on it too. The two Lyon brothers make a pretty solid pairing.
