Many youngn’s nowadays might not remember K-Ci & JoJo, but older fans of R&B know how much of a staple the duo were in the ’90s (not only for their own careers, but as a part of Jodeci). After a 5-year hiatus in between albums, the veterans return to the scene with their first single, “Knock If Off,” off their yet-untitled album due out later this year.
The track picks up where they left off in 2002, hoping that chopped and screwed hook resonates with the younger fans. It’s not completely on that baby making vibe, but the melody sounds like Summer. A remix with someone noteworthy would solidify it.
