Kaytranada is one of the best new producers to emerge in the 2010s. On the latest episode of Pharrell and Scott Vener’s ‘OTHERtone’ show on Beats 1, which will air in full this Sunday, the Montreal producer talks about his signature sound.
“I pretty much try to make people feel good,” he says in response to Pharrell praising his production. “I always think about sun, good times, outside, when I make beats. Parties going on.”
Towards the end of the video, Kaytranada and Pharrell talk about making an EP together with a focus on Haitian music.
