“It’s Been 10 Years In The Making”
In the midst of promoting Black Hippy, Isaiah Rashad and SZA projects, Punch has been surprisingly dropping some music gems on the low. Most notably last month, the Top Dop Entertainment President offered another quality effort with his Kendrick Lamar-assisted release “25.” While it may be just a hobby for Punch, Kendrick has been praising his lyricism before their company became one of the most prestigious in hip-hop today.
In a recent interview with MTV News, K. Dot opened up on the creation process 10 years ago the TDE family witnessed from Punch in the studio. He soon detailed how material has been locked away in the safe and Punch doing it for the love of the genre – which the company has already enabled them to live comfortable.
Whether a project from Punch becomes reality remains to be seen, but we’re very intrigued to keep hearing these random drops – whenever they arrive.
