Lanz Pierce – Miss You

Lanz Pierce returns with a rather more touching track than her previous releases by dedicating the offering to the Sandy Hook tragedy, but more specifically losing a close friend of hers in the midst of the moment. The relevantly titled “Miss You” is something that the artist has worked on during the recent studio sessions for her next body of work. She wrote as message along with the track itself:

“There was a time when great artists like Lennon & Tupac spoke for generations, they were barometers of truth, social issues, & political voices. After the Newtown tragedy and losing a friend of my own to drugs I felt like I wanted to open up on a record, speak from the heart and like the great artists before me make an impact.”

You have to agree that the song certainly speaks a thousand words, giving her a better chance to project her emotion in a more powerful way. The track is set to be included on her forthcoming EP titled Point Of No Return.
