Little Simz works at her own pace, whether that’s dropping track after track or not feeding into the need to drop music all the time. She’s not the type to over-glamorize her lifestyle as a musician either, and her new song “Days Like This” is a great example. The track feels like a day in the life of Simz (when she’s not on tour) recording in the studio, thanks in part to the personal phone calls she uses on it. She’s also thankful for the small things.
“She send me good morning texts and that shit brightens my day,” she raps about her mom. “I never take that for granted, man that woman is great.” The song also features a verse from fellow Age 101 member, Josh Arcé.
