It was almost like Lorde fell off the face of the earth following her successful and breakout year in 2014. Which was led by the release of her debut studio album Pure Heroine that went on to selling over 3 million records. After taking some time off, the New Zealand singer and songwriter officially makes her return today with a new single “Green Light.” The record debuts through an official music video, directed by Grant Singer (The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott). In the four minute clip, Lorde recaps a night out at the club before she leaves and takes to the streets. Where she dances on top of a truck and around the city while singing about love.
“Green Light” serves as the first single from Lorde’s upcoming album Melodrama, available every June 15th.
