You can’t press play on a Lou The Human record and not think that he hasn’t been studying from the Slim Shady book of rhymes. It’s not a bad thing. He’s rapping better than Eminem‘s best impersonation of old Slim right now. You know, the battling rapping, hungry to make it, Slim Shady EP version of young Marshall Mathers that hasn’t been around in a while. As you can tell by the title, Lou is killing himself in “Lou’s Dead,” something Em did plenty of times.
Seriously, from the “Ha, ha, ha” intro to the “braniac/chain reaction” line, they’re straight from the old Shady freestyle and rare album singles tape deck before he signed with Aftermath and Dr. Dre.
We’ll be checking for his Humaniac album when it drops. Bet that.
