Two months ago Brooklyn rap duo Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame, known to the world as M.O.P. released Street Certified, their first project as a collective since 2011’s Sparta. The project has already seen videos for two singles off the EP with “187” and the Busta Rhymes assisted “Broad Daylight (187 Part 2),” and now the duo is back with the release of their latest visual release. This time around, for the intro track Welcome 2 Brooklyn featuring one of the boroughs fellow representatives Maino.
Through the raps and more of many of BK’s rapper residents, we’ve heard the numerous stories of what the home of Notorious B.I.G., JAY Z, Ol Dirty Bastard, Fabolous, Saigon, Uncle Murda among others has shaped them to be, and M.O.P and Maino pay homage to the place that bred them and kick some Brooklyn knowledge. The video takes us on a journey, showcasing many of Brooklyn’s historical landmarks.
