Madlib is no stranger to making music on an iPad, having made the beat for Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar’s “No More Parties in LA” on one. However, the producer has now revealed that he made the entirety of his Bandana album with Freddie Gibbs using the Apple tablet.
“I made all of the beats for Bandana on my iPad,” he wrote on Twitter. He later said, “Some of these niggas mad lmao. I’m gonna keep making good music I like. I’m gonna keep doin my thing till i’m 90. i’m gonna keep getting better. That iPad remark was just to say stop making excuses – use a tape deck if necessary. Technology is what you make it.”
