Rejoice, fans of Lord Quas. Madlib has taken to Instagram under his rapping alter ego Quasimoto to reveal that a new album and tour is coming in 2017. “Proud to announce the reformation of Eric B, Rakim, and Quas. New album and tour in 2017,” he said with a photo of Quasimoto photoshopped into Eric B. and Rakim’s 1988 album cover for Follow the Leader.
There’s currently no word on whether Madlib is working or touring with Eric B. and Rakim (they just announced a reunion), or simply messing around with the image and caption. At least there’s a brand new Quasimoto album on the way, which will be the first since 2013’s Yessir Whatever.
