Up to this point, Marvin Gaye has never had a documentary. Partly because of the family. It seems like now all three children and ex-wife (Nona, Marvin III, Frankie Gaye and Janis Gaye) are on the same page and have given the green light to one.
Directors Gabriel Clarke and Torquil Jones will be documenting the classic opus What’s Going On? into a film titled Marvin, What’s Going On?
The documentary won’t be out until 2017 but it will include never-before-seen footage from the Gaye family vaults, as well as interviews with Motown pioneers. Let’s hope they do a good job and there are no obstacles in the way.
