Last night we were browsing through Apple Music and were surprised that Mayer Hawthorne had a new release. Obviously, we hadn’t heard any tracks from it or knew he was working on a follow-up to Man About Town so we were wondering exactly what it was. Turns out it was a surprise EP. Party Of One only features three tracks (and three instrumentals), with Mayer on his usual soulful sound.
We have added some of the songs to our R&B playlist and intend to put them in heavy rotation for the foreseeable future. This was a pleasant surprise to have this weekend.
