After a few weeks of tests being run and analysis on the cause of death, Pima County Medical Examiner has determined that Lil Peep died from an overdose of fentanyl and generic Xanax. However, his death was also ruled accidental.
Those two substances weren’t all that was found in his system, though.
Blood tests showed he was positive for marijuana, cocaine and the painkiller Tramadol. His urine also tested positive for hydrocodone, generic Dilauded, oxycodone and oxymorphone. According to the examiner, no alcohol was in his system.
Authorities were investigating the possibility of fentanyl-laced drugs, considering the area had been riddled with it in the prior weeks.
