Meek Mill’s ‘Legends of the Summer’ First Week Sales

#StayWoke

With Meek Mill released from prison early, the Philadelphia rapper spent several weeks going on a campaign to bring awareness to injustices involving innocent people in the system.

So much, that he even wanted to spread the message through his music, as he dropped his Legends of the Summer EP. This weekend, Billboard reveals the official numbers for the effort, as the MMG rep scored his fifth overall top 10 debut.

The project arrived at no. 6 on the charts, generating 26,000 equivalent album units (6,000 in album sales). Considering the effort had a week-long leak and was a surprise announcement hours leading up to its release, we’re sure the next full-length album campaign will have a bigger roll-out.
