Miguel Says He’s Done with the Frank Ocean Rivalry

Several years ago Miguel wasn’t the biggest fan of Frank Ocean, refusing to clap for him after his Best Urban Contemporary Album win at the Grammys, and later saying that he makes better music than him. Now, in a new interview with The Guardian, he explains why he’s done with the whole R&B rivalry.

“Egos are a crazy thing,” he says. “The version of myself I was two, three, four years ago, even last week, is different to who I am today. That’s not who I am. And I’m a big fan of his music and his creativity; we need more people out there doing that.”

Miguel also said that they want different things in their careers. “I want it all,” he said. “I want to reach the world.”
