It has been 14 years since Missy Elliott released a new project and from out of the blue, the legendary Virginia rapper/singer has impacted with ICONOLOGY. It has felt like for the past few years, something has been in the works and though it isn’t a full LP, we’ll take four songs from Missy rather than nothing. To kick things off, she accompanies her new effort with a colorful video for “Throw It Back,” which feature signature misdemeanor creativity, dancing and more. From girls jump roping on her braided hair, to her being an astronaut on the moon and the Missy faces on her jacket singing. The hook is catchy and a club banger, for real.
Teyana Taylor also makes a cameo in the beginning.
