Nas Calls Out Rap’s Generation Division for Not Working Together

Over the last few years, Nas has been one of the few legends to embrace and receive love back the younger generation. While he’s not looking to rush his next album anytime soon, the Queens native took to Instagram this weekend to speak out on rap’s generation division.

He even cited how rap was the only genre where there’s issues between each generation, even mentioning how the great Neil Diamond and Jack White having an upcoming concert together.

This comes just days after linking up with DJ Esco and Future for their “Walk Thru” single – which fellow legends have been hesitant to work with two of the biggest names at the moment.

Today's game is as big as it gets. It seems like nobody gettin along tho. It's a big enough game to do what you do and let ya talent speak for itself. This new cat over here says something bad about Pac. This older guy gets mad at the new guy. Or "Nas ain't hip hop. Migos and Future are Hip Hop" Neil Diamond x Jack White have a Concert coming up together. Gettin it done. White musicians have that freedom and are praised for coming together… more power to them and I'm a fan of it. why can't black artist do that and make it cool?
