How much has this song been on rotation since it dropped? If you were like us, it probably blasted out the speakers on repeat and ranks as one of the best songs to be released this year. Turns out, the last leak was a bit premature though (what isn’t nowadays?) and this is the final version set to appear on Distant Relatives with an extra Nas verse.
The thing about the verse is that by no means does it make the song any better but as far as Nas is concerned, he definitely used it to air out issues in therapeutic fashion. He speaks on his present day struggles including Kelis, child support, single life & cheating wives, etc. Point being, he kept it real.. and like the song says, “only the strong will continue“.
