I hit the loose juice! Live from Pomona, one of the groups we grew up with, was the NWA-affiliated collective Above the Law. From their 4th studio album “Uncle Sam’s Curse,” the crew blessed all with their timeless classic “Black Superman.”
Some may not know that ABL claimed to be the originators of the G-funk sound which was made famous by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Nate Dogg and the rest of the LBC. Representing the epitome of West Coast in the mid-90s, the crew introduced all to the “Black Superman.” Shouts to all my B-dogs from all around, as you should be hoppin’.
