We saw Adina Howard had a new single out after a six-year hiatus from the game (the ’90s were only six years ago?), and instead of posting it, we decided to go in with one of her flashbacks. No hate, it just wasn’t what we expected from her and truthfully, unless she’s singing about some raw sexual shit that will have us wanting to dive in raw dog, we can’t get jiggy with it. Most kids might not even be familiar with her, unless they recognize her name from the Kendrick Lamar line off “Backseat Freestyle.”
Regardless, back in 1995, no one could tell Adina Howard shit. Her debut single “Freak Like Me” went platinum, her tracks were on major music soundtracks and her first album was doing great, ultimately achieving Gold certification by the RIAA.
She hasn’t been the same since, but here’s to hoping she’s still a freak.
