We’ve been listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar’s good kid m.A.A.d city album lately and one line that jumps out at us is when he said “bump that new E-40 at the school” on “Money Trees.” Particularly because that’s what we were doing back in the day as well.
An all time favorite E-40 track on this side has to be the Too $hort assisted “Rapper’s Ball” which also featured K-Ci from Jodeci (or K-Ci & JoJo, however you look at it). Whenever we’re riding out to the ’90s West Coast playlist, this is a track we have to turn up real loud. Some might remember it because it was featured on the 1996 album Tha Hall of Game.
The video version is way too edited for our liking, but the visual does have cameos from 2pac and Ice-T. We’ve been rocking with Bay Area music for mad long!!
