Ever since Prince‘s untimely death, we’ve been hearing some unreleased records trickle out, as well as his entire catalog hit streaming services after years of not being on there. In partnership with Warner Bros. Records, the Prince Estate will be releasing the posthumous album Piano & A Microphone 1983 next week, which will feature never-before-heard tracks that the Purple One recorded in his home in Minnesota. “Why the Butterflies” is one of those records and as you can hear, it remains in his raw and acoustic form. It feels like an unfinished track, but still has the soul and feeling we’re used to hearing from Prince.
