Back in the first week of December, we heard a prolific effort from Ben Jamin titled Fruju, with the attempt to reuse a classic sample; the same one No I.D. tackled for Common’s “I Used to Love H.E.R”. This time, the producer links up with Prof.Logik to combine both of their talents as one. “Uptown Boog’z” is the title of the track, which is driven by the funky bassline, but manages to keep the mellow sound that we’ve acknowledged before. There’s been no word on whether the pair will get together for a full project, but we can always hope for the best.
