After copping pleas and trying to make himself out to be the victim in his sit down with Gayle King on CBS Evening News yesterday, R. Kelly is under police custody once again. This time over unrelated charges stemming from those 10 counts of sexual aggravated assault.
Following his release from jail last week, a judge ordered Kelly to pay $161,663 that he owed to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly and considering he doesn’t have the money for payment, he was taken back into Cook County Jail.
He will remain there until the delinquent payment is made.
According to the contempt order signed by the judge last month, Kelly owes $194,000, and had to pay $161,000 by today or else he'd be jailed. Divorce lawyers tell me that it's not unusual for a judge to keep someone in jail for weeks or months while determining ability to pay.

Robert’s publicist Darryll Johnson said that he had $50,000 and was willing to make that payment today in hopes to make payments at a later time or make arrangements, but was denied. His mood after he was taken back to jail shouldn’t surprise you, as Johnson claimed he was “depressed, deflated, upset.”
He was lucky enough “a friend” paid his bail when he didn’t have the money before, but it would be a miracle if someone picked up the tab on his child support.
Expect him to remain in jail for the foreseeable future.
