R. Kelly Pleads Not Guilty to 10 Counts of Sexual Abuse, Can’t Post Bail

It has been a tough year for Robert Kelly. The Pied Piper of R&B has seen experienced the ultimate backlash from the Surviving R. Kelly documentary and those allegations have produced more evidence for imminent conviction.

After last week’s newly surfaced tape with an underage girl surfaced, the Chicago Police have been moving quickly to apprehend him and bring him to justice.

R. Kelly is being held in a Chicago jail after turning himself into authorities, following his indictment on 10 counts of criminal aggravated sexual assault. Prosecutors in Cook County claim that Kelly abused four girls between the ages of 13 and 16 and they have the evidence to prove it in the clip that was produced recently. As of today, Kelly has entered a plea of not guilty of all charges.

A judge set his bond for $1 million last week and the singer could not come up with the $100,000 that it would take to be out on bail. According to his lawyer Steve Greenberg, Kelly “doesn’t have any money at this point” because of mismanagement and bad deals.

That #MuteRKelly campaign is getting real serious now.

UPDATE: It looks like R. Kelly has finally posted the $100,000 for bail and has left Cook County Jail. He spent three nights in prison and according to CNN, he still owes $169,000 in child support and $166,000 in unpaid rent fees for his studio in Chicago.
