More Information on Rihanna’s Upcoming Dancehall Album Revealed

4th quarter RiRi?

It’s been two years since Rihanna released her 2016 ANTi album, which she spent a large portion last year touring the world. Well, after transitioning to becoming business mogul in her time away from music (see: Fenty Beauty), the sexy Barbados singer is on the verge of returning the limelight.

This week, Rolling Stone reported that she’s been preparing a new dancehall and pop album. Last June, RiRi first announced plans for of reggae influence in her photoshoot with Vogue.

According to those near the creation process of the effort, Rihanna’s planning to drop a 10-track effort. However, she has to pick through 500 recorded tracks, including numerous A-listers, as well as up-and-comers submitting her content.

Along with a huge dancehall influence, she’s also going more traditional pop on the project, which means the first of multiple radio hits could start surfacing. Considering some tier-1 artists have randomly dropped albums this year without notice, the bad gal could take the same approach.

Let us know in the comments what you think of RiRi returning to the mainstream pop world.
