Just last week, we saw Thundercat release his excellent new album, Drunk. Now, his brother Ronald Bruner, Jr. is here with his debut album titled Triumph. Out today, the new project continues the family’s soul and jazz identity and features 11 tracks from the Los Angeles musician, with features coming from Mac Miller, Kamasi Washington, George Duke, Danielle Withers, and of course, Thundercat.
The LP was put together during the making of Kamasi Washington’s The Epic, and is described as “a direct result of working with century defining artists such as Stanley Clarke, Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, Wayne Shorter, Prince, Chaka Khan, Q-Tip, Kenny Garrett and Stevie Wonder.”
