On November 27, Statik Selektah will be releasing his new album The Balancing Act via Mass Appeal. Today, he shares the star-studded single “Play Around” with a jam-packed lineup. On the boom bamp record, 2 Chainz, Killer Mike, Conway the Machine and Allan Kingdom trade bars and spit that real.
Here’s what Statik said about the song:
“‘Play Around’ was one of the first songs that I started on for the album, but the last one that I completely finished. Conway went in, 2 Chainz talked that money talk, and then Killer Mike came through at the last minute and put that raw energy that I needed on that third verse.”
The Balancing Act is slated to feature the likes of Nas, Jadakiss, Dave East, Method Man, Bun B, Black Thought, Griselda, Joey Bada$$ and more.
